Love is in the Air- Chelan and Leavenworth Real Estate Inspection Service.
I love my job. I really do. Are there things that are not fun… absolutely, but who has a job that does not have that aspect?
One thing during a home inspection I do is to remove the panels on a furnace to look over its components. Most of the time I find that the furnace is dirty and has not been well maintained.
Here in Douglas and Chelan Counties the majority of homes have electric furnaces due to the very economical electricity rates. These two counties are less than 3 cents a kilowatt for power.
Electric furnaces are very durable but should still be maintained and cleaned. If not you are just spreading dust and whatever throughout the home.
Here is a case where we may be spreading a little love about. Not the love you really want spread though.
Furnaces should be serviced once a year. If you have a heat pump or AC unit you should have it serviced twice a year in the cooling to heating season.
