A Douglas County Home and Pest Inspector feeling the heat

A Douglas County Home and Pest Inspector feeling the heat

As a Douglas County Home and Pest Inspector feeling the heat can come in many forms.

Wenatchee Home Inspection- Wood Furnace

This one comes in the form of being amazed at a great old wood fired furnace nestled between two very large boulders.  I could only imagine after having this old beauty fired up for a week or two what a thermal sink you would have. Waking to the radiating heat energy provided in an impressive show thermal dynamics.  That's if you wake and CO does not get you!

Here you see the damper control from the kitchen area. My thought was what great engineering here, simple yet effective.

Damper Control- Wenatchee Best Inspections

The Williamson Heater company was started in around 1923, this furnace was around a 1928 vintage. The company was purchased by Hupp Industries.  Hupp went bankrupt in 1991 and was purchased again so the Williamsons name is still in circulation.

As a Douglas County home and pest inspector I love getting these glimpses of the past, it sets my mind a wondering about the days of old and a much simpler time.
