In the world of home inspections ventilation is a key component to proving a healthy home to rid the home of unwanted moisture and other indoor air pollutants.

Whole house ventilation has become the norm and knowing how to properly program you whole house ventilation is very important.

Current standard are to ventilate the kitchen with a 100 cfm exhaust fan.

Well here we have a case of whole house/kitchen ventilation that may take the cake.

I was doing my usual inspection of the kitchen and testing all the switches when I hit the switch to the fan and the louvers pop open and then swoosh the air was moving. It actually was very quiet other the rush of air.

The client loved this fan. I pointed out this was ventilating straight into the attic and that could create issues with moisture (but at the volume of air this was putting out that may not even be an issue).

Now that is a fan- How can you deny that!
