I found this video via another blogger, Chris Smith and I must say it stuck me. Why I was so deeply struck is because I saw a little of me in this 9 yo boy. Chris Smith Blog- Caine's Cardboard Arcade
For several years during the Christmas holidays I would build cardboard toys for my nieces and nephews when they were all young. I wish I had the pictures because they got pretty elaborate, a train, plane and automobiles before the movie of that title ever came out and of course little houses. This was way before camera phones.
Fast forward several years... the department I was part of at the Immunex Corp. was responsible for the corporate Halloween party one year. We built a medieval castle theme completely out of cardboard. We had castle walls and a Paper Mache dragon with smoking nostrils.
My specific department created a Viking Ship to house us as Norsemen that was about 10 feet long that hung from our shoulders as we raided the party. Big kids was all we were.
Imagination is a root of good analytical thinking. This helps in all facets of life. It helps me as I evalute homes during an inspection.
